Benefits of Aloe Vera Juice
September 2, 2009 at 8:12 pm | alternatives Posted by ksankar |

In my quest to lose weight over the past few years, I was researching everything from diets to exercise to supplements to juices. As a result, I discovered Aloe Vera juice through one article written by Swami Ramdev, the yoga guru. Ever since I started taking Aloe Vera juice, I have no constipation and I generally feel better.

The supposed benefits of pure Aloe Vera juice are many. It keeps the blood pure, kidneys clean, it is an overall health package. The only requirement the swami says is to get pure 100% aloe vera juice. Do your own research and see if you could benefit from Aloe Vera juice.

Cream for dry hands

I have been using Burt’s Bees “Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Cream” for the past few days on my chapped, extremely dry and frazzled hands. My hands look much softer and less frazzled after just one weeks of application. I always had trouble with other hand creams of either a severe itch or a rash on my hands. In winter it used to get worse. I was hunting for any new hand cream products in CVS pharmacy when I noticed this white lid medium sized bottle on the shelf, and felt I need to try this. So I did! I love this product. It smells good too and is natural without any testing done on animals.

Clay Bentonite Natural Powder

Clay Bentonite Natural Powder is beneficial for scars, dark spots on face, hands and feet. Also it is known to help with eczema and other skin allergies when applied as a pack. Soak the powder in plain water for 5 minutes and then apply on the hands and feet before shower or bath.

I have been using the powder mixed with coconut water as a face pack every fortnight. It cleans up the pores and gives a glow to the complexion. I wash off the pack with cold water and apply a moisturizer.

Is Restylane a good option for you?
June 19, 2009 at 8:33 pm | alternatives, restylane Posted by webmaster |

If you want to smooth out your wrinkles, there are several options including topical serum creams, Botox injections and fillers such as Restylane. Restylane contains hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occuring substance in our bodies. Hyaluronic acid is responsible for plumping our skin and providing the fullness to the skin. Unlike Botox which is a toxin injected into the skin to paralyze facial muscles temporarily, fillers such as Restylane contain non-animal biodegradable compounds that are used to fill the wrinkles. The hyaluronic acid is safely absorbed into the skin as the effects of the treatment wears off.

Unemployed? Get a free Botox treatment.
June 16, 2009 at 10:03 pm | botox Posted by webmaster |

Recently, a spa in Arlington, Virginia offered free a Botox treatment to the first 50 people who could prove that they were recently unemployed (laid off). A lot of people lined up to take advantage of this offer. Many of those polled said that they were doing this to look better for job interviews. The spa also invited recruiters to meet with the prospective job seekers getting Botox treatments. With each Botox treatment costing around $300 to $500, I wonder what the Salon was hoping to gain from this promotion. Could it be publicity? The name of the spa is Reveal MedSpa.

In this bad economy, many companies are doing good deeds such as giving away cell phones or other goodies and in return getting some much needed publicity.
