Is there such a thing as addiction to Botox? It seems that more and more women (and some men too) are getting Botox treatments over and over again. Once you Botox, you never go back? A British study concluded that 40% of Botox patients felt a compusion to have it again. Is Botox safe for frequent use? There have not been long term results compiled on the effects of Botox and so no one knows. Yet, each day, new inductees visit their spas or doctors to sign up for Botox treatments. There was a recent study which concluded that it was easier to get a Botox appointment with a dermatologist than to get one for cancer evaluation. Traci Dean of Dallas, TX has spent over $7,000 on Botox in just the past two years. The 38-year-old topless dancer gets Botox treatments every three months in addition to Perlane and other dermal fillers. According to Traci, it’s a small investment to maintain her looks and in her profession she says “Looks are everything”. She maintains that she would never go under the knife to make herself look good. According to her, as she crossed into 30, her wrinkles started to bother her and no matter what beauty treatments she performed on herself, they remained. Now, she has skin smooth as a baby and she loves the way she feels. What do you think? Is it really addictive? And if it is, do you believe it is a harmful addiction? Post a comment
