Restylane(R) is a very good and increasingly popular dermal filler, chosen by many patients throughout the world. Next to Botox(R), Restylane(R) is the second-most-common injectable used in the United States. It works by plumping up creases under the skin, making it particularly well suited for use on the lower face. Restylane results tend to last up to 6 months, which is longer than some other fillers. If you have lines on your face or around your lips that you want to see diminish, you may be a candidate for Restylane(R). It’s a great choice if you want to have fuller or more richly defined lips, and it’s also an excellent option to fill in deeper facial lines like nasolabial folds (those pesky crevices between your nose and the corners of your mouth). Jessica Simpson recently admitted to having her lips plumped up with Restylane injections. She was later on quoted as saying “I did Restalyne- I was going through an emotional time and I thought maybe if my lips were bigger people would think it was sexy. It only stays for four months. I looked like a blowfish!” There are however, countless others who have had lip augmentation and swear by it. There are many options for lip augmentation, some of which include collagen injections, fat injections or hyaluronic acid fillers. To maintain a long lasting younger appearance on your face many cosmetic therapies and injections are available on the market. Generally these solutions add volume and smoothen out wrinkle lines. Among them restylane and botox are quite common and both have their own features and applications. Restylane is a new injection filler that has advantages over other injections existing on the market. Restylane is an FDA approved non-animal, biodegradable, crystal clear gel that is based on a natural substance, hyaluronic acid, which adds facial curves, fills depressions, levels facial wrinkles and shapes lips. Hyaluronic acid is formed naturally in our body. It is a substance of connective tissues. Allergic reactions are fewer as this acid is produced by our body itself. Restylane is also suggested to those people who want to enhance appearance and fullness of lips. Botox (botulinum - a toxin) injections are another method to regain your smooth and soft look. Botox injections are an FDA (food and drugs association) approved treatment. Botox is a purified protein that is derived from bacterium clostridium botulinum, a toxin that causes food poisoning. Botox is a simple treatment and, according to ASAPS (American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), botox is the fastest growing treatment available. |
