Archive for the ‘videos’ CategoryAccording to the results of product tests conducted by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics (SafeCosmetics.org), many of the Lipsticks manufactured in the United States contain high levels of lead. As you know, lead has been in the news lately due to toys made in China containing lead. According to the report, more than half of the 33 brand name lipsticks tested contained detectable levels of lead. though it is not listed as an ingredient. A third contained lead in levels that exceeded the US FDA limit of 0.1 parts per million for products such as Candy. For example, L’Oreal Colour Riche “True Red” was tested to contain 0.65 parts per million. Christian Dior Addict “Positive Red” had 0.21 parts per million. Watch this CBS report on Lead in lipstick:
